WegoEvents is a modern, all-in-one event discovery, ticketing, and management platform built to make events easier to discover, easier to organize, and more exciting to experience across Tanzania and Africa. What WegoEvents offers

What does WegoEvents do for attendees?

Attendees search approved events by date, price, category, and location, buy tickets in Tanzanian shillings or US dollars, and receive a QR-coded ticket in My Tickets immediately after payment is confirmed. Tickets can be downloaded or shown on a phone at the door.

What does WegoEvents do for organizers?

Organizers create an event, set multiple ticket tiers and prices, upload a poster, and publish after paying a one-time listing fee. The dashboard shows ticket sales, buyer details, and revenue per event, and includes a QR check-in scanner and an automated attendance report.

How does WegoEvents handle payments?

Payments run through a mobile money USSD push supporting Vodacom M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money, and Halopesa. Organizers may also enable manual bank or mobile transfer as a fallback. Every order is recorded against the event so buyers and organizers see the same transaction history.

Where does WegoEvents operate?

WegoEvents is based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and lists in-person, online, and hybrid events across Tanzania and the wider African market. All event times are shown in East Africa Time (EAT, UTC+3) and labelled so hosts and guests read the same schedule.
